Supervisors Attend Family Farm Alliance

SISKIYOU, CA - Last week, Chairman Valenzuela (District 2) and Supervisor Kobseff (District 3) attended the Family Farm Alliance Annual Conference in Reno, NV. in order to network, learn, and partner on behalf of Siskiyou County.

While attending one of the sessions, Chairman Valenzuela (District 2) and Supervisor Kobseff (District 3) visited with Oregon State Representative, Cliff Bentz. They connected on and talked over the significance of the Lower Klamath and Tule Lake Wildlife Refuges, which are important to the Klamath Watershed, critical to the Pacific Flyway, and in turn, Siskiyou County.

Historically, ranches in the surrounding areas benefited from the refuges by ensuring tail water and utilizing the recycled water that filled them.
