Biography:

Nancy was born in New York and raised in Maryland close to Washington DC.  She moved with her family to Southern California in the early 1980s and pursued her passion for animals at San Diego State University with a degree in Zoology.  Nancy then became a Siskiyou County resident in 1985.  She spent over two decades ranching and raising her family in Hornbrook on Bailey Hill.  She then chose to move closer to her community, Yreka, in 2012.

Nancy's appreciation for nature and outdoor recreation is at the core of who she is as an individual.  Her love of the outdoors is evidenced by her career history, from zookeeper at the San Diego Zoo, to an Arabian horse training and riding instructor, to a biologist with the US Forest Service, and a retiree of Pacific Power after 32 years.  She continues her passion for animals as a dog trainer.

Nancy has been active in the community by volunteering at events and for various community organizations.  She has served as a board member and past President of the Yreka Chamber of Commerce.  She is currently representing the county on numerous committees including the Firesafe Council of Siskiyou County, the Pacific Power Wildfire Advisory Board, and the Siskiyou County Fish & Game Commission.
